Lychee Berries To Fuel Your Workout & Weight-Loss

Lychee berries are known for their high ORAC value that offer numerous health benefits, extremely rich antioxidant content, and the ability to oxidize fat. Further, recent studies have concluded that they can also fuel your workouts and promote endurance leading to fat burn.

According to the study, Oligomerized lychee fruit extract (OLFE) may promote endurance through polyphenolic properties. This study investigated the effects of a polyphenol mixture and vitamins on exercise endurance capacity. Results showed that OLFE elevated the submaximal running time and increased the anaerobic threshold. These results suggest that the polyphenol-containing supplement and typical antioxidants may have different mechanisms of action and that the endurance promoting effect of OLFE may not directly come from the scavenging of free radicals but may be attributed to other non-antioxidant properties of polyphenols.
