Losing weight can be one shaky endeavor. Between all the calorie counting, exercising do’s and don’ts, and self deprivation, surviving long enough to reach your goals can be tricky. That’s where great calorie and portion controlled options like meal replacements come in handy, taking all the guess work out of dieting. But meal replacements tend to raise an eyebrow with people having several apprehensions about surviving without “real food”, unappetizing tastes or battling a constant feeling of starvation. So if you are one of those who feel meal replacement is not your go-to diet option, think again. Knowing the art of making meal replacements work means fast tracking and managing your weight loss with ease by incorporating it correctly into your diet, without having to compromise on nutrition, satisfaction or even taste.
With so many meal replacement options today, it’s a mixed bag and you have to be cautious about picking the right one. The right meal replacement option should sport the healthiest ingredients, fit comfortably into your diet and lifestyle plan and definitely tempt your taste buds. We suggest that you read labels carefully before you take your pick. Your choice of meal replacement should be packed with these essentials: protein, natural metabolism boosters, fiber content and trace vitamins like zinc and beta-carotene to nutritionally balance out your diet. All this should be packaged into less than 300 calories per serving. Getting creative with your meal replacement makes it far more effective so throw in little extra treats like a handful of fruits or nuts. The natural whey protein and lychee berry based Lichi Super Fruit Meal Replacement makes room for plenty of creativity at just 120 calories per serving; adding a little strawberry or banana just hits the right spot under 300 calories. When it comes to taste, today there are several enticing chocolate and fruity options available that will keep you coming back for more.
Another hiccup is that some people complain about feeling hungry within half-an hour of consuming their meal replacement. Don’t let hunger derail you by picking a fiber rich option with high content of malodextrin or add extra seaweed fiber and whole grains to reduce your hunger by 30% and staying full for up to five hours. Some formulas like Lichi Super Fruit act as natural appetite suppressant to help you along further. While on a meal replacement based diet, health experts advice snacking on “real food” like cottage cheese and fruit or peanut butter and cracker to boost your nutrition and palate.
Very low-calorie and low-protein diets can cause serious health problems so incorporate at least 1-2 nutritionally balanced meals a day, following the new “MyPlate” guideline including several portions of fruits and vegetable. Don’t depend solely on any meal replacement for all your daily sustenance. You can have your own preference about which meal/s to substitute…while some like the ease of on-the-go meal replacement for lunch or breakfast trying a hand at the Kellogg’s Special K Challenge, others opt for a light grain-based alternate like the Advocare peanut-butter as a dinner swap. If you don’t want to hit the meal replacement road hardcore, it can still be a good healthy snack option rather than your regular vending machine fare.
Finally, your meal replacement choice should work long-term and not let your weight yo-yo every time you go on and off the product. It is important to embrace a healthy lifestyle with regular exercise and a conscious diet that retrains your appetite, metabolism and fitness. That puts the responsibility of your weight management goals on you but meal replacements can effectively start you on the right track and help you along the way whether you are looking for a quick low-calorie meal fix or an extra protein and nutrient boost in-between with measured calories.

Resveratrol, an antioxidant found in red wine and grapes, has become the new health buzz term of late, with everything from supplements to skin care including the small chain amino acids in their formulas. Touting anti-aging, heart disease prevention, and fat fighting benefits, incorporating resveratrol into your diet may seem like a no brainer, however, deciding how and where to obtain it can be a little more perplexing.
The majority of people familiar with resveratrol immediately associate it with red wine. Much like the old adage an apple a day, a glass of red wine a day has been theorized to delay the proverbial “Dr.” as it relates to aging, and heart disease related illnesses.
Researchers at the Harvard Medical School and the National Institute of Aging report that resveratrol does offset the bad effects of a high-calorie diet, and significantly extends life spans, but before you raise your glass, it is important to note, that the average person will not consume the amount of red wine needed to reap any resveratrol related health benefits. Even if you have enough red wine to bathe, which Desperate Housewives actress, Terri Hatcher reportedly indulges in to help often and keep her skin looking young, chances are the .2 to 5.8 mg/L of rapidly metabolizing resveratrol, will be eliminated prior to its absorption into your cells.
In a study to show the anti-aging, and fat fighting ability of resveratrol, American Researches, dispensed almost 1,700 mg of resveratrol to laboratory mice, with significant results. The high doses of resveratrol prevented negative health causes, but the equivalent of that dosage would be roughly a thousand glasses of red wine.
Leading physicians, including our favorite expert – Dr. Oz, have publicly encouraged resveratrol supplements. Derived from grape skins and seeds, red wine, or Japanese knotweed extracts, the growing crop of supplements containing resveratrol, promise a host of benefits benefits, from anti-aging, to promoting weigh-loss, to extending life, and improving overall health.
If you’re one of the 50% of Americans already taking a supplement, the thought of adding on another may be a little hard to swallow. However, thanks to innovative, natural’s product developers like Bainbridge & Knight, there are a growing group of healthy, multi-pronged dietary supplements, that fuse the most effective clinically sound ingredients to synergistically achieve desired health outcomes, be they help with weight-loss, anti-aging, and or protection against free radicals that cause disease.
When deciding upon a supplement, natural is always best. If you are currently taking multiple supplements, instead of adding on, it may be advantageous to select a supplement that addresses all your needs. Products like Lichi Super Fruit contain resveratrol in addition Acai, Green Tea, & Lychee extracts to provide a complete picture of weigh-loss management and health maintenance, in addition to a healthy diet, and regular exercise.
So before you hit the wine “bottle” for your daily dose of resveratrol, keep in mind the host of healthy dietary supplements that contain the potent phenol resveratrol Eating a diet rich in lush dark purple fruits and vegetables like grapes, purple cabbage, and blueberries, which all contain resveratrol, can definitely provide healthy benefits, so make sure you also visit your local farmer’s market. Now, that we’ve got you totally covered when it comes to getting your allotment of resveratrol, go ahead and raise your glass! Cheers.

We all know that a steady fitness routine is paramount when it comes to maintaining optimal health and a slim physique, but is it possible to exercise too much? Your body needs appropriate time to rest in between workouts in order for your muscles to repair themselves and build up. Exercising too frequently can cause pulled muscles, fractures, arthritis, excessive bruising, dehydration, insomnia, depression and fatigue. Some of the other symptoms include the following.
· Feeling tired and lacking energy
· Persistent muscle soreness
· Difficulty sleeping
· Increased resting heart rate
· Headaches
· Irritability
· Loss of motivation
· Depression
· Decreased appetite
· Increased incidence of injury
· Increased susceptibility to infections or illness
As a general rule of thumb, each week you should not exercise more than 30 minutes to one hour, 6 times per week. You should also try not to burn more than 3,500 calories per week. This should prevent you from experiencing any negative side effects related to over exercising.

Have you ever reached for a pint of ice cream or devoured an entire sleeve of cookies after a particularly bad day? Who doesn’t, right? Food, at certain times, can be very comforting. However, your relationship with food becomes destructive when it becomes a crutch, or when one cup of ice cream quickly turns into two or three pints. Instead of feeling satisfied, you feel guilty and bloated. Your mind is plagued with remorse and negativity. This might cause you to over-exercise, compensate for the extra calories by depriving yourself of meals at other times, or worse, you start purging, convinced that tomorrow, you will start “over”, but tomorrow never comes, leaving you more distraught than ever.
This kind of behavior can be symptomatic of an eating disorder. Sunny Sea Gold, Redbook Editor and Former Shape Up Glamour Blogger, wrote of her experiences with binging, purging, and emotional overeating in Food: The Good Girl’s Drug. Offering a rare honest look at one woman’s fight to get her life on track, Gold shares her personal experiences and advice on how to overcome emotional eating and ways to stop the binging/purging cycle.
In her book, Gold recalls how it all started and how she recovered from her eating disorder. Growing up, Gold believed that the only way for her to be “perfect” was by being thin. Combined with stress, depression, and unpleasant life situations, Gold secretly binged her way through her early twenties before tossing in the towel. Using overeating as a coping mechanism herself, Gold says, “Overeating was a good coping mechanism for you at first. It may have protected you from danger, or like a drug, soothed pain you didn’t have any other way to deal with… But I’m willing t guess that avoiding these feelings isn’t working so well for you anymore. As you get healthier and more aware, you’ll gain strength to face.”
How did she get out of this dangerous routine? By doing the only thing that would heal her permanently: asking for help. While it might be scary, finding an outside source that can offer guidance and insight into your behaviors will not only help you overcome your past but guide you to a better future. Gold recommends therapy and group support in her book, stating that both helped her fully recover. She recommends checking with your health insurance to see which eating-disorder therapists are covered in your plans.
Living the Lichi Lifestyle is about finding balance and moderation. Here at the Lichi Super Fruit HQs, we want you all to be happy and healthy. This is not a crash diet- it a lifestyle; no deprivation, no binging, no obsessive dieting. While delicious, cake, cookies, chocolate do nothing for you body, taking care of your body and mind is the most important thing you can ever do and the occasional indulgence is normal! The key here is moderation. Toss the black and white rules out and live in the gray. A healthy mind equals a happy body.

So, you have a little bit of a sweet tooth. You aren’t the only one. Americans consume about 135 pounds of sugar each year on average. There is no coincidence between this and the fact that in 2010 the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention reported that 68% of adults in the U.S. were overweight, and 37% were obese. The question is how can you avoid becoming a percentage of those statistics? A good starting point is by monitoring your sugar intake. If you have to satiate that sweet tooth of yours, replacing sugar with natural and more health beneficial sweeteners is a good start however, merely replacing artificial sweeteners and refined or processed sugars is not enough. Even when you substitute your sweetener with a more nutritional alternative, it comes down to this; sugar is sugar, and limiting your intake in any form, natural or not, is imperative to staying slim and in good health. Here are the facts on some of those sweet spots…
Refined table sugar, though it appears to be a simple and unprocessed additive, is conventionally grown, chemically processed, and striped of all beneficial properties by the time it gets into your food or sugar bowl. Many health advocates believe that refined sugar is one of the leading causes of health problems in the U.S. due to its acidic effect on the body, causing calcium and other mineral depletion from bones and organs. Over consumption of sugar is the leading cause of obesity in the U.S.
Artificial sweeteners such as Splenda, Equal, or Sweet & Low are comprised of cancer causing chemicals that are toxic. Ironically using these sweeteners can indirectly lead to weight gain, which is usually why you are using the sugar substitute to begin with!
High Fructose Corn Syrup is believed to be one of the major contributors or health problems in our society. It is used as a sweetener in many processed food products on the market because of its cost effectiveness in comparison to sugar. It is thought to be a leading cause to illnesses such as heart disease, diabetes, liver failure and certain cancers, among others. Check the nutritional information on your foods and try to avoid using foods that list high fructose corn syrup as an ingredient.
Stevia is a sweetener derived from the extract of the South American Stevia plant leaves. Although it is tremendously sweeter than table sugar, Stevia is not a sugar. Unlike other popular sweeteners, there are no known side effects and the product has been approved by the FDA. This should not be confused with other mass market variations of the product such as Truvia, which have not yet been deemed as 100% safe due to the side effects.
Raw Honey is a healthy sugar alternative in moderation with antioxidants, minerals, vitamins, amino acids, enzymes, carbohydrates, and phytonutrients, raw, unprocessed honey is considered a superfood and remedy for many ailments including allergies and cold symptoms.
Agave Nectar is sweet syrup made from the Blue Agave plant, Agave Nectar is obtained by the extraction and purification of “sap” from the agave plant, which is broken down by natural enzymes into the monosaccharides (simple sugars): mainly fructose (70-75%) and dextrose (20-26%). It is thought to have antibacterial and digestive benefits by practitioners of natural medicine.
Maple syrup is made by boiling sap collected from natural growth maple trees during March & April. It is refined sap and is therefore processed. It is much more nutritious then refined table sugar and high fructose corn syrup, there are better choices.

A healthy body comes in all different shapes and sizes. Whether you are an hourglass or a pear shape, knowing your body type can make a world of difference when tackling your weight loss goals. While you are on your path to better health, whether its to lose weight or build muscle, there are some simple things you can do to look and feel great on your way to your goal. Eating, exercising, and even dressing specifically for your body are all things you should take into consideration in order to look and feel your best. If you naturally have a “Pear Shaped” body, whether you are trying to lose weight or not, you will not have the same nutritional & fitness needs as someone with an “Hour Glass” body, and you certainly would not wear the same types of clothing. If you look good, you will feel good, and feeling good is the most important step in achieving and maintaining your ultimate goals. Statistically, individuals that feel better about how they look at any size, and have knowledge of their body type, are more likely to both reach their ideal body goals, and stay there! Use the information below to help determine which body type you are, and what positive behaviors best suit your needs!
Hourglass
Diet:
Fruits, vegetables, grains, beans and dairy 2-3 servings a day, about 3 servings weekly of fish, nuts and seeds, limit intake of meat and eggs to 2 servings per week, avoid oily foods
Exercise:
Cardio should be balanced with training. Any cardio technique is fine, so keep a variety! This is the ultimate body frame for fitness. A balanced upper/lower body training program with a variety of exercises works well. A well balanced routine for the abdominal muscles should include lower abs, upper abs and obliques.
Clothing:
Just about every cut and style works for this body shape. Just wear clothes that fit you, avoid wearing anything too tight that would add the appearance of bulk. If you have problem areas, see what other body types do to conceal them, and dress accordingly.
Inverted Triangle
Diet:
Small meals 5-6 times a day should include 2-3 servings of grains, nuts & seeds, minimally processed dairy products, oils, and 1-2 servings of vegetables, meats and/or eggs.
Exercise:
The stepper is a good form of cardio to burn calories and add thickness to those skinny legs, as well as the treadmill on an incline. Avoid the elliptical machine. For weight training, exercises including Squats, Leg Presses and shaping exercises such as Extensions and Lunges are ideal. Use moderate to heavy weight and keep the repetitions on the lower end. Upper body resistance training should consist of low weight and high reps in all muscle groups for toning. Upper abdominal exercises such as simple curls are great for tightening up the stomach.
Clothing:
Pick pieces that are shaped but not tight. Bring attention to the bottom half of the body. Avoid high necklines and high waistlines.
Pear Shape Body
Diet:
Restrict intake of grains to no more than 2 servings per day, protein-rich vegetables and beans (2-3 servings per day), limit dairy and red meat to 2 servings per week, avoid sweeteners & use of condiments.
Exercise:
Lower body cardio can be effective to rid the excess weight in the lower body, such as walking, cycling, or elliptical machine. Light to moderate resistance training, using Shoulder Presses, Lateral Raises, and Pulldowns will help build upper body muscle for balance. Avoid Squats, Leg Extensions and Lunges. Focus abdominal exercises on the lower abs with low lifts and hyper extensions.
Clothing:
Bring attention to/emphasize the top half of the body and away from problem areas. Avoid clingy skirts and tapered pants. Wear lighter colors on top and darker colors on the bottom.
Rectangle Shape
Diet:
Small meals 5-6 times a day and include 2-3 servings of grains, nuts & seeds, minimally processed dairy products, oils, and 1-2 servings of vegetables, meats and/or eggs in their diet.
Exercise:
Cardio should be kept to a minimum, preferably the stepper, and more focus should go on the resistance training. This should be intense and brief. Each muscle group should be trained once weekly. You want to put emphasis on building muscle, therefore keep the repetitions in the low to mid range. Abdominal exercises should be equally balanced in upper & lower abdominals, and heavy in the obliques.
Clothing:
Wear draped fabrics with patterns to create curves. Wearing halter tops and accessories will help this as well. Also wear fitted pants, or skirts with pleats or gathering to add shape to your bottom.
Apple Shape
Diet:
Restrict intake of grains to no more than 2 servings per day, protein-rich vegetables and beans (2-3 servings per day), limit dairy and red meat to 2 servings per week, avoid sweeteners & use of condiments
Exercise:
Routine cardio, such as the treadmill on an incline or the stepper, are necessary to generate overall weight loss. The elliptical machine should be avoided as it leans out the legs too much. Weight training should be focused on the legs to create balance with the upper body. Include more Squats and Leg Presses to bring the lower body up to speed with the upper body. Abdominal exercises should include heavy oblique work & lower abdominal lifts.
Clothing:
The secret is not to hide any part of the body, but to show it off, nobody looks good in a straight oversized tent dress. The clothes must be fitted (not tight) and curve hugging.
Diamond
Diet:
Fruits, vegetables, grains, beans and dairy 2-3 servings a day. About 3 servings weekly of fish, nuts and seeds. Limit intake of meat and eggs to 2 servings per week, and avoid oily foods.
Exercise:
Heavy cardio is important for this body type, so choices should be focused on trimming the upper body using the treadmill or the stepper. Concentrate on lower body for weight training with Squats, Leg Presses, Extensions and Lunges. Focus on abdominal exercises that narrow the waist by working the obliques. Avoid over working the upper abdominal muscles.
Clothing:
The same rule applies here as it does to the apple shape. The clothes must be fitted (not tight) and curve hugging. Bring attention to/emphasize the top half of the body and away from problem areas.

The Lychee Berry has a long history of cultivation and usage, that dates back as early as 2000 BC. This delicious and nutritious super fruit has stood the test of time as a fruit revered for its delicious flavor, luscious texture, and superior health benefits. 1608
Chinese writer, Sung Chio of the Ming Dynasty writes his treatise on the lychee, organizing a lychee club, and citing all of the favorable and unfavorable circumstances under which he, his family, and his friends consumed the delicious fruit. The treatise was printed in the Imperial Encyclopedia, and later in Chih Wu’s great work on Chinese Botany.
Lychee is introduced to the West Indies.

Achieving “balance” in your life is not just a trendy idea brought on by the ever growing popularity of being “zen” over the last decade. When it comes to being in great overall health, you need to achieve overall balance. Believe it or not, this type of balancing act actually starts on the inside! Keeping a balanced, healthy pH in your body is important when it comes to both achieving and maintaining optimal health. The term “pH level” refers to the acidity of a given environment or substance, in this case, your digestive system. This pH level is determined by the balance between acid and alkaline levels. Your body naturally strives to keep a healthy balance between the two. A pH imbalance can affect how disease-causing bacteria survive within your body, which can make you ill, effect your mood, your energy levels, and ultimately your weight.
A change or shift in the ratio of acidic to alkaline foods in your meals, and the addition of probiotics to your daily diet, like Lichi LactoSpore Probiotic Vitamins, certain juices, soy beverages, or yogurt, can help to support a healthy pH balance in your body. This will aid in balancing out your pH level by providing the body with “good bacteria”. In tandem with taking probiotic supplements, eating a diet of roughly ¾ alkaline food, and ¼ acidic food could be the solution to keeping a healthy and balanced pH level. Alkaline foods include fruits, vegetables, tubers and legumes that are low in sugar. Acidic foods include animal proteins, dairy, grains, alcohol, and pretty much anything processed. The following charts from The Wolfe Clinic are a great tool to help guide you decide what foods to eat to maintain your body’s zen!
According to NaturalHealthSchool.com…
“Most people who suffer from unbalanced pH are acidic. This condition forces the body to borrow minerals—including calcium, sodium, potassium and magnesium—from vital organs and bones to buffer (neutralize) the acid and safely remove it from the body. Because of this strain, the body can suffer severe and prolonged damage due to high acidity—a condition that may go undetected for years.”
Imbalance of pH within the body can cause such problems as:

The battle for the title of world’s most powerful super fruit is ripe with competitors, with nutrient stacked fruits, such as the acai berry, acerola, baobab, blueberry, goji berry, and pomegranate all vying for their chance to be named or re-named the most potent super fruit of all.
When it comes to delivering the coveted health benefits of weight-loss, fat burning, increased energy, anti-aging, and more radiant looking skin, all these fruits pack punch, but ounce for ounce, none quite measure up to the mighty, mighty super fruit, known as the lychee berry.
This ultra-rich, marvelously lush fruit, contains more Vitamin C than any citrus, more polyphenols than grapes, and a higher ORAC value than many leading super fruits.
In laimens terms, what that means is the lychee berry on average contains a higher concentration of antioxidants than many of it’s counterparts, making it a formidable contender as the undisputed Super Fruit Champion of the world.
But why the contest? Can’t all super fruit just get along! Apparently so. Leading health and wellness product developer, Bainbridge & Knight, has been on the forefront of high quality, natural ingredient dietary supplement innovation, engineering super fruit diet products that harness the goodness of many of nature’s super fruits, foods, and herbs.
Once such herbal dietary supplement is Lichi Super Fruit Diet. Engineered with Lychee, Acai, and Tea extracts, Lich Super Fruit Diet’s exclusive formulation contain an optimum level of fat oxidizing, metabolism boosting, appetite suppressing, and antioxidant ingredients that work together to produce the most naturally occurring weight-loss, fat burning, energy optimizing, and anti-aging supplement on the market.
Promising benefits from a slimmer waist line, to improved skin tone and texture, Lichi Super Fruit Diet is a must try! With March being National Nutrition month, and with many of us looking for ways to continue to improve our health, whether we’ve reached a plateau, or just haven’t been able to lose those last few pounds, incorporating a natural dietary supplement maybe just the thing to help us achieve our health and wellness goals.

According to the USDA, over 75% of the U.S. population is overweight, and 61 million of that 75% is classified as obese. However even with all the caloric intake necessary to maintain an obese state, almost the same number of individuals, 7 out of 10, or 70% are malnourished, in terms of certain vitamin and nutrient deficiencies.
What that means is that Americans are consuming a large amount of food, just not the right foods. But how can that be? We live in a super image obsessed, celebrity driven culture, where bikini body dreams have half the U.S. female population on a diet, accounting for more than 40 billion dollars worth of diet products purchased a year. However, most women aren’t experiencing any results, and if they do lose a few pounds, they are unable to maintain the results for good.
Chances are the woman in question may be trying all the right things, but doing them the wrong way. Perhaps she’s exercising, but not eating right. Perhaps she is eating right, but not exercising. Or for certain, she’s taking a weight-loss pill thinking, if this really works it will burn off the 3 Twinkies I just ate.
Maybe, maybe not, but what does work is a consistent life pattern of healthy dieting and regular exercise. There are no magic pills, no amazing contraptions, or special body creams, that can physically alter what a few miles on a treadmill could not. However, there are ways to help jump-start, or enhance the process of loosing weight, in ways that no physical exercise, or simple meal can achieve.
That is because weight is the culmination of a number of factors that change and fluctuate with time. As you grow older, each bikini season looms more formidable, as thighs simply refuse to be tightened, and as tummies just won’t tuck. There are so many metabolic and hormonal changes, that occur in women approaching their 40’s, that if not chemically treated, cannot be otherwise solved.
Take for example estrogen, the hormone that causes all women to ovulate. As you age, estrogen production drastically decreases. Because fat cells also produce estrogen, the body begins to make more fat cells to maintain the level of estrogen it is used to, hence that sub-cutaneous layer of visceral fat that just appeared out-of-no where!
So what do you do? Work out harder, diet more strictly, thereby depleting and depriving your body of essential nutrients, so you wind up on the wrong side of 7 out of 10? No, in order to maintain adequate nutrient levels as you age, you need a supplement.
Dietary Guidelines for America 2011 recommends American’s take some form of supplement, but that still won’t account for the excessive fat production, and other metabolic changes that occur as women age. So in addition to a vitamin supplement, one might think they also need a dietary supplement that chemically works on fat, metabolism, and appetite suppression. While that used to be the case, there is now a crop of next generation health and wellness products, that are scientifically bridging the gap between simply powering weight-loss to actually improving health.
One such innovator on the cutting edge of this technology is premium health and beauty products developer Bainbridge and Knight. Their most recent dietary supplement release, Lichi Super Fruit Diet, is a one of a kind supplement, specially formulated to not only aid in oxidizing fat cells, increasing metabolism, and suppressing the appetite, but as it is also rich in vitamins like B3 and minerals like Chromium and Magnesium, as well as antioxidants derived from the Lychee Berry, Acai Berry, and herbs from Green Tea, White Tea, and Black tea, to provide a whole host of benefits, in a patented formula that achieves weight loss, while promoting tremendous health gains.
Said Bainbridge & Knight VP of Sales Mark Horowitz says, “We are pleased to see Lichi Super Fruit Diet enter into the market. The brand so far, has been very well received, which is a testament to a smarter, more informed consumer, who wants high-quality products with natural healthy ingredients that delivers results”.
Bainbridge and Knight is one of the first health and wellness manufacturer to harness the ancient power of the Lychee Berry, long harvested in Southeast Asia for it’s vitamin and mineral content, the lychee berry contains one of the highest concentrations of naturally occurring polyphenols -which assists in weight loss, combating free radicals, and has also been proven effective in reducing visceral fat, which typically forms around the belly. Lychee has also been known to help bolster the immune system and boost metabolism.
Said Dr. Thomas Redner, “Lichi is not a magic bullet; it should be thought of as a bullet in a loaded gun. The other important aspects to keeping the weight off are diet, exercise and attitude. Maintaining bodily and mental discipline is also crucial to a healthy lifestyle. In other words Lichi is an invaluable long-term supplement to optimize not only your overall weight management goals, but your wellness goals too”.
Lichi Super Fruit Diet, fuses clinically proven natural ingredients in a never before seen way, promising benefits from improved skin tone and texture, more vitality, greater energy, a slimmer waist line, and a healthier, younger feeling you. To try Lichi Super Fruit Diet for yourself, visit your local CVS, Duane Reede, Walgreens, GNC, or Rite Aid.

There are only a few short weeks until Lichi Total Body Detox hits the shelves, but there is plenty you can do to get ready for your cleanse in the meantime! Many people jump right into a detox or cleanse with little to no preparation. This is why you often hear complaints that cleansing and detoxes are “too difficult” or they “didn’t work”. The truth to a good detox is that it is only as hard as you make it and it will only work if you let it. If you haven’t already made a substantial effort to change your habits and lifestyle, now is the time. Many of the cleanses on the market recommend a full month of a restricted diet before beginning the program. Lichi Total Body Detox suggests simply a healthier diet for 1-3 weeks before starting your cleanse for best results. The 4th week, you will add Lichi Total Body Detox either to what you have already been doing, or the juice or raw food cleanse of your choice. Either way the results will astound you, and you will be looking and feeling your best in no time! The following tips are some suggestions on how to prepare for your Total Body Spring Cleaning!
Take Inventory.
Start with your cabinets and refrigerator, and clean house! Try to get rid of anything processed or full of preservatives. Chances are if its 5 ingredients or more down the list, and you can’t pronounce it, you shouldn’t be eating it. Use the canned vegetables and soups if you don’t want to be wasteful, or donate them to your local soup kitchen. Do the same with the white flour pastas and other packaged foods. If its’ expired, throw it out! Now it’s time to take your personal inventory. Keep a journal and start writing down everything you eat and drink in a day. This will help you analyze your diet, and assist you in making better decisions when you eat.
Keep It Fresh!
Snacking is usually where many people tend to let their healthy habits go awry. Keeping food around the house before, during and after your cleanse like fresh vegetables, seeds, nuts and fresh fruit help out when it comes to snacking. Most of us tend to reach for the “quick and easy” snack foods, which often times are pre-packaged or processed. These types of foods are full of preservatives, artificial flavoring, sodium, and artificial sweeteners, which can possibly put you at higher risk for disease. Plan ahead when you make your grocery list. Replace the chips and dip with carrots and hummus, or the snack bar with a piece of fruit and a handful of sunflower seeds. The results you feel from eliminating the foods containing toxins in your diet will happen quickly!
Hydrate.
Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Make an effort to drink 8-16oz of water in the morning right when you get up. Continue to drink frequently throughout the day. Replace soft-drinks or other sugared beverages with water. Try to eliminate alcoholic beverages also. For a little pizzazz, add a wedge of lemon, lime or orange. Drinking plenty of water will help flush your body out as you cleanse and detoxify. A good rule of thumb for drinking water is to divide your body weight in half, which is the amount of water in ounces you should try to drink each day. If that seems like a lot, stick to the old eight, 8oz glasses of water routine. If you are still thirsty, drink more!
Plan Your Meals.
Try to incorporate whole foods into your daily menu. Substitute your simple carbohydrates with whole grains such as brown rice or quinoa. You can make a pot of these versatile grains and use them throughout the day. Brown rice or Quinoa with blueberries, banana and a dash of almond milk is a great substitute for cereal in the morning and is high in both fiber and protein which will help jump start your metabolism and keep you energized throughout the day. In the evening, these whole grains make a great side with a little olive oil and sea salt, or any other spices and seasonings you make like to compliment your meal. Buy fresh instead of frozen vegetables, and steam them until they are tender, but still “al dente”, or a little crunchy in the middle. This ensures that they retain the highest vitamin and mineral content possible, next to being raw. Try to substitute red meat for salmon, which is high in protein and omega 3’s, and poultry for a while flaky fish like sole or tilapia. If you can’t cut down on the meat and poultry just yet, try to buy hand fed or free range brands. Many of the leading brands these days are treat their livestock with antibiotics and hormones, which just add to the toxins in our bodies when digested. When you sit down to a meal, take in all the smells, the color and the texture. Be mindful of each bite, chew slowly and try to experience the meal with all of your senses. This will help you eat less and digest your food better.
Take a Breath!
Now that you have hit the ground running on your cleanse, now you can do it (literally) with your exercise routine. Get outside and get some fresh air. Take a walk, go for a jog, do some gardening, go for a bike ride, participate or organize a cleanup of your local park. Spring is in the air, and if you take advantage of it you will feel rejuvenated and energized. If it’s still too chilly to take to the outdoors, take a yoga class. Yoga postures are designed to tone and detoxify the body through a series of stretches, twists and breathing exercises. Proper breathing is important when doing any type of physical activity. Whether you are doing cardio, lifting weights, swimming, or anything else that exerts energy and force in motion, you should be careful not to hold your breath, and to breath evenly and deeply. A good rule of thumb is to focus on your breath while working out, and inhale on the exertion of energy, exhale on the release. This brings oxygen to the muscles when they can use it and need it the most. If you are holding a pose or weight for a lengthy amount of time, breath through it. Proper breathing also helps your endurance as you work out.
Follow these simple steps and in 1-3 weeks you will be ready to start your Lichi Total Body Detox in addition to your new healthy diet, your juice cleanse, or your raw food diet detox. Good luck and happy spring cleaning!

Did you know that if you drink two ounces of fresh wheatgrass juice in the morning on an empty stomach, that it equals nearly 3 pounds of vegetables when it comes to the vitamin and mineral content? Wheatgrass is a raw, potent super-food that is an excellent source of calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, sulphur, cobalt, and zinc. This is basically most of the vitamins and minerals needed to sustain the human body. The nutritional value of wheatgrass is equivalent to having a balanced meal. Because of this, wheatgrass is a fantastic supplement to a weight loss or weight management regimen due to its ability to curb cravings. As a complete protein, wheatgrass contains 30 enzymes and nearly 70% chlorophyll. Chlorophyll aids in rebuilding blood cells, leveling out blood pressure, supporting the immune system and fighting bacteria, reducing and clearing up sinus pressure, neutralizing body and breath odors, soothing skin irritations or injuries while rebuilding and repairing the skin cells, stimulating healthy tissue growth. The high beta-carotene content is thought to deduce the risk of free radicals in the body that cause cancer significantly.
According to DynamicGreens.com, the following are some of the wonderful health benefits that one could experience when incorporating wheatgrass into their diet!

Did you know that yoga can burn fat, boost metabolism and aid in digestion?
The physical results that occur as a result of practicing yoga are not only a beautiful body and increased flexibility. The real benefits and results happen on the inside! Through yoga, the changes that occur in your body are ones that improve your overall health and cause chemical reactions within your body that can accelerate weight loss.
Doing yoga is known to result in easing or even getting rid of stress. Many people don’t realize that stress is a huge factor in weight gain and weight retention, especially in your belly and hips. When your stress levels go down, your body’s sensitivity to glucose in your blood increases, causing your body to kick into fat-burning mode. When your stress levels are high, the opposite effect occurs, making it more difficult to lose weight, or even just maintain it. The chemical reaction is just one factor. Another point to consider is that many of us tend to over eat when we are stressed. Not only do we over eat, we gravitate to comfort foods, which we all know generally tend not to be steamed vegetables and brown rice! Savory foods and sweets are harder for your body to break down, and slow down the digestive tract. It’s a vicious cycle that can be avoided if you start with a couple of yoga classes each week!

In a huge market over-saturated by health and diet pills, getting onto the shelves as a new product can be difficult. With such steep competition as less healthy diet products like Alli, SlimQuick, or Xenadrine, finding a place among the ranks of these diet pills in mass market retailers has not come easy to any other product, until now... Lichi Super Fruit Diet has made quite an impression on retailers like Rite Aid, GNC, CVS, Duane Reade, Walgreens.com, ShopRite, Harmon, A&P, Circle K, Weis Markets, Pathmark and many others who have decided to carry the product in 2011.
So why is Lichi regarded as such an asset to retailers’ shelves? It stands alone among the competition as a safe, effective, natural and healthy weight loss alternative. Besides making you feel and look fantasic, there are no negative or long term side effects like there are with the competitive products, such as jitters, digestive problems, irritability, headache or increased blood pressure (to name only a few). However, the lack of negative side effects isn’t the only reason that makes Lichi Super Fruit Diet stand out among the masses. The product’s website, www.LichiSuperFruit.com, serves as a place where you can get health and fitness tips, identify your body type and its individual needs, and connect with a whole community of people on the same journey as you are to help support and guide you on your path to better health.
